The Paris Metro: visual puns make for great photographs

The Paris Metro may not have the oomph of its larger London counterpart, but we never fail to be wowed by its immaculate tiling, near-silent trains and art-nouveau entrances, particularly on the earliest stations.

Photographer Janol Alpin obviously feels the same way, though his tribute to the network has been to create some brilliant photographs that play on the name of the stations. So Argentine has two couples performing the tango, while Rome features a chap dressed up as Caesar… he might have tried a bit harder on that one.

Anyway, we think they're great, and you might, too.  Find out more about Janol at his website.
