Aigle: beating the cold by looking cool

While there's no denying that Umbrella is a magazine happiest while its slipping on a light crewneck jumper for an evening of tapas and cold beer in Seville or Palma de Majorca, the colder months do have some compensations, the most obvious of which is the clothing.

French label Aigle, formed in 1853, certainly knows how to weather the er… weather with garments that not only keep out the chill but do so looking rather smart. Like Fjällraven a few years back, Aigle are only just on the smart chaps' radar, but those who care about these things know that we're dealing with a brand with a proven track record in upmarket performance wear.
