The cult of casual has come full circle. Football style specialists 80s Casuals and subculture retailer Distant Echo have joined forces to release a replica kit. You know, a proper strip, one you can actually play football in.

The two brands  have released a series of tops under the banner of  “Clube Eighties”. It's about as far away from a regular kit as it’s possible to get.

In line with the recent popularity of technical and sports pieces in menswear these tops can be worn in the gym, on the five-a-side pitch and, just as crucially, down the pub.

Inspired by South American kits of old, the first two releases, Clube Nunes and FC Sergio come in home/away colour ways.

They’re out week commencing July 20 and are priced at £22 each.
