A coat is a vital part of a man’s armour.

While you can get away with skimping on your T-shirt or socks, a jacket can make or break an outfit, which is why investing in a decent one is always be a good idea.

Hence we’re rather taken with the collaboration between Portuguese brand, Newfangle, and Stockport style blog/label, Casual Connoisseur.
,
The Treinador is a classic short parka, sitting just below the waist. It can be worn in two ways: first, with the hood attached for those inevitable summer showers; second, without the hood, which reveals a shirt-style collar, turning the garment into one of those ‘coach’ jackets that were big in the early 1990s. Both options looks smart.

Delving deeper, there are plenty of details to get excited about. The white hood-pulls contrast nicely with the navy blue colour scheme, while pockets can be found at the front and over the lower back. Our favourite touch are the buttons, which have the words ‘This things of ours’ – a reference to casual culture – embossed into them.

Tempted? You should be, especially with a price tag of £155.

Bravo, gentlemen – a true example of European cooperation.
