Airports are often devoid of joy – functional (well, sometimes) warehouses with little relationship to the cities that host them. 

Happily, that’s starting to change, with city councils using airports as catalysts for growth. 

In Denver, USA, the airport is the centre of a new zone that will encompass housing, industry and business. 

Happily, aviation innovation group AERIAL FUTURES has made a nice film about it, which is not only informative but, thanks to the black and white stock, looks like a Joy Division video: the very definition of form and function.
