Adidas goes back to the ’90s with Torsion for Spring/Summer ’13

The ’90s. Seemingly lost between the strikes/new romantics/mullets of the 1980s and the constantly connected/laser beam/iPhone 2000s, it's a decade that people find hard to pin down. The reason for this is simple – in men's fashion at least, the way we dress is still, with one of two exceptions, stuck at around 1996. In short, this is the decade when we worked out what looked cool – and stuck with it.

Adidas Originals, for so long ploughing the farrow of the decade previously – how many colours can Trimm Trab come in? – have taken this on board and released some classics from the ten years that gave us progressive house, glam clubbing and Britpop. While we always have concerns about the quality and authenticity of reissues, this set of athletics-influenced trainers – including the Torsion Allegra – and threads really does look the business. All we need now are for curtains to come back in and we're set. More here.
